My passion for horticulture started when I was in high  school. I was working part-time at a florist shop and  became really interested in the different varieties of  flowers and greenery and their seasonality. I went to  study at WelTec and received a Diploma in  Horticulture with a certificate in Landscape  Construction and Design through my studies I  worked part-time at Mitre 10 in their garden centre,  which continued to build on my plant knowledge.

After working in the industry for a few years, myself and  my partner moved to England. I worked in the  gardening industry over there and really enjoyed it.  The English landscape was a lot different to the  southern hemisphere and required a more varied skill  set. This built on my knowledge and ignited my  passion for gardening and soft landscaping. To this  day, English designs are very influential to my client  designs as well as classic sustainable NZ native  plants.
